On Native Ground (ONG) is a Hoopa Tribal non-profit media organization dedicated to bringing truthful, positive and uplifting films and music about Native people to the screen, internet, radio & television. Our team of professionals creates award winning documentaries, shorts, psa's, music videos, podcasts and feature films. 

One of the main catalysts for creating On Native Ground was to give Native youth and adults a platform to learn and grow as filmmakers, scriptwriters, producers and on screen talent.  Our award winning films have screened at festivals across the world. We make projects come to life.

On July 9, 2024 two new releases are available for the public. 

GIFT OF FEAR, a narrative feature film starring Justin Johnson Cortez, Laura Vallejo, Michael Horse and Isa Antonetti that deals with the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women's crisis will begin streaming on Amazon Prime, Tubi, Dish, Direct TV, Filmzie, Xbox, Google Play and You Tube. 

FLOODLIGHTS, a new podcast by the creator of Vanishing Point, Laura Frater, will be available on Apple Podcasts. FLOODLIGHTS is a weekly true crime show covering major crimes impacting Tribal nations. From the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous people, to scandals and conspiracies created by an unfair legal system, Floodlights investigates the stories America needs to hear now.

On Native Ground has been working on many different projects for stage and screen. 

Most recently "Something Inside Is Broken" which is currently available at PBS.org. It has won 24 awards for Best Native American Feature and Best Musical. It has also won a Native American Music Award for Best Rock Album.
